An asset of community value (ACV) is a property or a piece of land that's subject to additional protection from development, under the Localism Act 2011, because of its importance to a local community. Voluntary and community organisations can nominate an asset to be included on their local authority's register of ACVs.
Many public houses and sports grounds are among the types of property that have been listed as ACVs.
